It was a chilly Wednesday evening on the 2nd of November. C & A had scheduled to share a drink at a small bar in Berkeley. Depending on who you ask, one will say the other was late to the date. Being that it was the middle of the week, C went into the date with optimism but not expecting much. A, with little patience left for dating, went into the date firmly believing this would be her last. This would be true however, for a different reason than she had anticipated.

As C & A locked eyes, A was taken by surprise by C's goofy and enthusiastic wave and immediately felt a twinge of uncertainty followed by a silent "oh god." In the same breath, C felt a wave of relief as he saw A's smile and thought "thank god!" – and it only got better from there

Fast forward to a month later and a couple of dates in between, A was following C down the ski slopes trying to learn how to "pizza" and "french fry". C patiently guided A down the bunny slopes trying to figure out why A was so quiet. It turns out A was freaking out the entire time, only revealing this to C months later. This would mark the start of the perfect balance. C adding more adventure to A's life while A teaching C patience and understanding.
